I bridge creativity and engineering to solve complex problems.
I’m Katie, a Product Design Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde, passionate about turning ideas into practical, user-focused solutions. Having achieved First-Class results in my Bachelor’s-level studies, I’m now completing my final Master’s year, graduating in 2027. Alongside my studies, I’ve gained over a year of industry experience in Product Design Engineering, developing my skills across CAD, product development, manufacturing and engineering design.
My Journey
I've always had a passion for STEM and problem-solving, leading me to study Product Design Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Alongside gaining hands-on project experience in CAD, prototyping, and analysis, I work part-time at an engineering company, building valuable industry skills that continue to shape my professional growth.
Beyond Engineering
I enjoy trying new things and embracing new challenges. At university, I joined Strath Snow to learn to ski and snowboard, and Strath Surf to learn to surf. I also love travelling and exploring new places, as I believe experiencing different environments has helped me become adaptable, resilient, and always eager to learn.
